The State of Calamity was extended throughout the national territory until 11:59 pm June 14th, 2020, through Council of Ministers Resolution No. 40-A/2020 of May 30. By this resolution, the Government continues the process of deconfinement initiated on April 30th, 2020 in the context of a controlled evolution of the epidemiological situation in Portugal.
However, the evolution of the increasing number of cases in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area was distinguished from the other regions of the country, which led the Government to take specific measures to this region.
