Covid19: Mitigation Measures

  • From 00:00 a.m. on 1st July 2020 until 11:59 p.m. of 14th July 2020, new measures come will apply in Continental Portugal and specific measures will be applicable to Lisbon Metropolitan Area and 19 parishes of Amadora, Odivelas, Sintra, Loures and Lisbon municipalities.
  • ➢ Continental Portugal enters State of Alert “Estado de Alerta” with the following measures:
    • • Mandatory confinement for patients and persons under active surveillance;
    • • The rules on physical distancing, mask wearable, space capacity, schedules and hygiene are maintained;
    • • Gatherings limited to 20 people;
    • • Prohibition of alcohol consumption on public roads;
    • • Fines: 100 to 500 € (natural persons); 1000 to 5000 € (legal persons).

Lisbon Metropolitan Area with Alcochete, Almada, Amadora, Barreiro, Cascais, Lisbon, Loures, Mafra, Moita, Montijo, Odivelas, Oeiras, Palmela, Sesimbra, Setúbal, Seixal, Sintra and Vila Franca de Xira municipalities, are in Contigency State “Estado de Contigência” with additional measures:

  • Commercial establishments close at 08:00 p.m. except:
    • i. Restaurants and take-away dining service;

• Prohibition of selling alcohol at service stations; • Gatherings are limited to 10 people.

  • The State of Calamity “Estado de Calamidade” is exclusive to 19 parishes in the municipalities of Amadora, Odivelas, Sintra, Loures and Lisbon.
  • Additional measures will be applicable in all Amadora and Odivelas parishes, in Sintra in Queluz-Belas, Massamá-Monte Abraão, Agualva-Mira Sintra, Algueirão-Mem-Martins, Rio de Mouro, Cacém-São Marcos parishes, also in Loures parishes of Camarate, Unhos, Apelação, Sacavém-Prior Velho and finally in Santa Clara parish which belongs to Lisbon municipality:
  • Civic duty of staying at home;
  • Fairs and uprising markets are prohibited;
  • Gatherings are limited to 5 people;
  • Surveillance reinforcement of mandatory confinements by Proteção Civil, Segurança Social and Saúde Comunitária;
  • “Healthy Neighborhoods” Program.
